The Machame Route on Kilimanjaro, often known as the “Whiskey Route,” is one of the most popular and lovely routes to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, with a stunning landscape and high success rate. The 7-day climb covers around 62 kilometers (38.5 miles) and offers a challenging yet rewarding experience. Unlike the gentler Marangu Route, Machame is higher and more physically challenging, making it perfect for adventurous trekkers.

As you climb, the environment changes dramatically—from lush rainforest to foggy moorlands, then to harsh alpine deserts, and finally to the frozen, alien endlessness of the top.
