TRAVEL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Who we are

J.M. Tours Limited is a travel company based in Tanzania (Tour Operation) established in 1985.

  • Tax Identification Number: 100-168-928
  • Value Added Tax Payer registration number: 11-006021-Z
  • Location: Arusha Region—Olorien, P.O. Box 392, Arusha, Tanzania (United Republic of)
  1. All payments are in USD (United States Dollars)
  2. Payment should be made by Telegraphic Transfer to J.M. Tours account in Tanzania
  3. Foreign checks are not accepted
  4. Upon confirmation of availability, the client is required to pay a 50% deposit to secure the booking.
  5. The client should obtain insurance that will cover cancellation for any reason should the client be unable to travel.
  6. Safari is confirmed once the deposit is received
  7. If the deposit has been paid rest can be paid a month before arrival, USD or Tsh in cash on arrival, or by Credit card (For Credit cards 6% bank charge is added to the cost)

Booking and Confirmation

All safari, climbing, transfer, beach holiday, hotel room, airline ticket, cultural tour, activity, and day trip reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. A booking is considered provisional until confirmed in writing by the J.M. Tours team.

A booking becomes confirmed once:

  • The client approved the quotation and itinerary.
  • Read and understand the payment and cancellation policy
  • The client sent the deposit, and J.M. Tours has been received.
  • J.M. Tours will issue a written confirmation.
 
Upon confirmation, clients will receive:
  • Booking Confirmation email from J.M Tours
  • Final Itinerary and payment receipt
  • Travel Preparation Information
  • Emergency Contact Details

Special Requests

Dietary requirements, medical conditions, mobility limitations, room preferences, and special celebrations should be communicated at the time of booking.

Changes and Amendments after confirmation

Requests to amend confirmed bookings may incur additional costs, including airline amendment fees, accommodation penalties, and administrative charges.

All changes/amendments are subject to availability.

Pricing

All prices are quoted in United States dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

Quoted prices are based on:

  • Current park fees
  • Accommodations rates
  • Activities rates
  • All ground transportation
  • Driver guiding fees
  • Government taxes
  • Exchange rates

Travel Documents

The traveller is responsible for obtaining and carrying the following:

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months’ validity)
  • Visa requirements
  • Travel insurance
  • Vaccination certificates were required
  • Flight tickets
  • Any other required travel documents

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover:

  • Trip cancellation
  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Personal accident
  • Loss of baggage
  • Delayed travel

Client Responsibility

The traveller will have to be responsible and take good care of all travel documents, whereas J.M. Tours is not responsible for losses arising from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.

The traveller is expected to:

  • Protecting one’s own valuable items
  • Follow the instructions of guides and drivers.
  • Respect wildlife and conservation regulations.
  • Observe national park rules.
  • Respect local customs and cultures.

J.M. Tours reserves the right to terminate services without refund if a traveller participates at their own risk, especially on safaris, beaches, and climbs.

Complaints

Any issues must be reported immediately during the trip so we can resolve them.

Post-trip complaints must be submitted within 7 days so that J.M Tour Management can be able to help and solve them.

Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking, the traveller agrees to all terms and conditions.

Liability

We, “J.M. Tours Ltd”, are the tour operator and are not liable for: Delays, injuries, or losses caused by third parties and Natural events (weather)
