Welcome to an 11-day Tanzania safari adventure where we will see the true nature of Africa. This affordable culture and safari tour starts from your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, following a village visit to the “tribes” to see the wildlife in northern Tanzania’s national parks.
We are guaranteed a dance with the Maasai tribe, followed by a visit to the small, triple-hunter Hadzabe tribe, with stunning views of the African landscape in the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Get your camera ready to take beautiful pictures of the wildebeest migration in Serengeti National Park. We will enjoy the roars of lions and songs from colorful birds of the savannah while resting inside the park. This is a live experience within a Tanzanian safari and cultural tour.
We can adjust, remove, or add activities in this 11-day Tanzania safari adventure to your satisfaction.
The 11-day Tanzania safari cost includes and guarantees 24/7 customer care.
We go to Mto Mbu village, Masai Boma, Hadzabe Tribe, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti & Tarangire.
This affordable African culture and safari tour is scheduled for a private car and driver guide.
You’ve been dreaming of your Tanzanian safari for so long, and the day when it begins has finally arrived. Welcome to Tanzania. We’ll greet you, then we’ll take you out to your accommodation in Arusha.
Depart Arusha around 0800 hours, and we will go to Mto Mmbu Village.
We will begin with a tour of the Maasai boma, where you will experience Maasai dance and other traditional Maasai cultural practices. Later on, after lunch, we go for a short walk (2 hours shorter) at Mto Mbu village, where you will visit the local food market, the Makonde tribe woodcarving workshop, the banana beer location, the banana plantation, and the rice plantation.
Walk along the main street of Mto wa Mbu, which is strung out along the road close to the gate of Lake Manyara National Park. It’s a busy and engaging little town where safari tourists mingle with Tanzanians from all across the country.
You’ll soon get a feel for the diversity of tribal cultures (members of all Tanzania’s 120 tribal groups live here) and the sometimes frenetic, sometimes laid-back pace of local life.
After breakfast, we go to Lake Eyasi to visit the Hadzabe, an “indigenous, nomadic hunter-gatherer group.” As one of Africa’s last true hunter-gatherer societies, they rely on traditional bows and foraging for survival.
Their unique click language is unrelated to neighboring tongues, and they face pressures to abandon their ancient lifestyle.
Today we’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most beautiful natural wonders, where you’ll experience otherworldly beauty and extraordinary wildlife. Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other.
Below the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in pristine isolation, sheltering lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals. There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan, and hyena dens, and you’ll never lose the sense that you’ve stumbled into a safari theme park where everything’s wild.
You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the numbers and variety of animals.
Track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas, and kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re really lucky, you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild.
And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun and so many other classic African safari images.
The option of having a balloon flight overlooking the migration with a bush breakfast.
Thereafter, we go to the center of Serengeti National Park for more game drives.
We will have time to enjoy the plains area with more wild animals to see, from hippos to giraffes, hyenas, and much more.
Visit Olduvai Gorge & Museum, Olduvai Gorge. You’re going to visit Olduvai Gorge, where archaeologists in the 1950s and 1960s discovered fossils that forever changed our knowledge of human origins.
You’ll also visit the fine museum, which overlooks the gorge and is a journey of discovery through the human story, beginning at the earliest days of humankind. The museum also has other finds from around the country.
If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have), you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants—baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that’s just the beginning.
Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, cheetahs, and leopards around, too. And it’s impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, and zebras.
Your backdrop for all of this is one of the most scenic in northern Tanzania, with a memorable mix of riverine woodland, open plains, and rolling hills. And some vantage points to take it all in.
Sunrise game drive inside Tarangire National Park with a breakfast at the lodge; thereafter, proceed with a game drive inside the park with a packed lunch.
Later on, go to Arusha before dark.
Today you will have a chance to visit a cultural heritage site, “free entrance,” to see some handmade crafts before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
Get yourself prepared to expect and experience the African rhythm, which combines the cultural tour and wilderness, inclusive of a comfortable safari car and cozy nights at the selected lodges/camps
