Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport to meet the driver guide and go to Moshi which is approximately 35 minutes driving for an overnight stay.
Today you will meet your guides for briefing and climbing gear checking.
Elevation: 5,380 ft to 9,350 ft Distance: 11 km|7 miles Hiking Time: 5-7 hours Habitat: Rain Forest
We start a day by last checking the list followed by a heavy breakfast.
We go to Machame gate for check-in. We start climbing through the rainforest with a packed lunch on the way. Here you will get the beautiful experience of the forest including bird species and plant species that make this Kilimanjaro forest so stunning. Reach the camping site for dinner and an overnight stay.
Night: Machame Camp
Elevation: 9,350 ft to 12,500 ft Distance: 5 km| 3 miles Hiking Time: 4-6 hours Habitat: Heath
After breakfast, we departed the campsite with a packed lunch. Day 2 we keep pushing up, climbing with some stops to take pictures of the stunning landscape. Today we will get a clear view of Mount Meru with a stunning view of the Maasai landscape in Sanya Juu.
To be served a packed lunch on the way and reach the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Night: Shira 2 Camp
Elevation: 12,500ft to 13,000ft Distance: 7 km | 4 miles Hiking Time: 4-5 hours Habitat: Alpine Desert Lava Tower to Barranco Camp Habitat: Alpine Desert
After breakfast, we proceed with the hike via the alpine desert and reach the lava tower where you will experience the altitude gain and you will have a hot lunch. Thereafter you will take some pictures of the stunning rocks and start descending to Barranco camp, where you will pass rivers and get a stunning surrounding view of Kilimanjaro.
Arrive at the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Night: Barranco Camp
Elevation: 13,000 ft to 15,331 ft Distance: 9 km | 5 miles Hiking Time: 7-8 hours Habitat: Alpine Desert.
Breakfast at the campsite thereafter we climb the Barranco wall where you will get a challenging experience and cross the famous kissing rock. Reaching the top of Barranco wall and get the best view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Then we proceed to Karanga camp for a hot lunch with a stunning view of Kilimanjaro from southwest of the Mountain.
After lunch, we proceed to Bafaru camp, where we will get a night and get ready for the summit.
Night: Barafu Camp
Elevation: 15,331 ft to 19,345 ft Distance: 5 km | 3 miles Hiking Time: 5-6 hours Habitat: the Arctic.
After a warm sleep, we awake around 00:00 hours get some snacks and tea, and get ready to summit. We push very slowly till we reach the highest peak in Africa.
Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp Elevation: 19,341 ft to 10,065 ft – Distance: 12 km | 7 miles – Hiking Time: 4 hours – Habitat: Rain Forest.
After reaching the summit and celebrating for some minutes, we proceed down for a hot lunch at the camp and proceed till we reach the campsite for dinner and warm sleeping.
Night: Mweka Camp
Elevation: 10,065 ft to 5,380 ft Distance: 10 km | 6 miles Hiking Time: 3-4 hours Habitat: Rain Forest
Today is the last day on the mountain. We descend till we reach the gate. We highly advise to use walking ticks and put on guitar that will help you when descending.
Arrive at the gate and collect certificates and we will meet the driver guide and go to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
